stop motion

so i decided to redo eric! for anyone who doesnt know, this is his original design 

alright so the reason i did this is pretty simple; his previous design was boring. it didnt have anything special about it. just a boring ol cute white blonde guy which has been seen millions of times before. i wanted to at least try and make something unique. so onto the bio! (or at least an idea for the bio)

he still has the same abilities as before, manipulation of paper (cooler than it sounds trust me). this is due to the fact that the witch who cursed him used similar spells (a whole art theme, paintbrush as a wand etc.). still havent come up with a reason for being cursed but it had something to do with his eyes, maybe peeping on her on accident or just generally seeing something he wasnt supposed to see. so in addition to trapping his soul she also took his eyes. after awhile of general moping on his part however, she created a cloak for him that allows him to see. most of the eyes are actually just for decoration, its only the one on the hood that lets him see. in this form he almost even functions like a cartoon character on paper. his movement is strange and somewhat jerky (like the movement in a flipbook), and his expressions and mannerisms are exaggerated. the eyes in his cloak move around a lot and look at things and blink, but dont do much besides that.

hmmm well im still working on making the actual witch but ill get to it eventually. ah well! im still actually very happy with where this is going though, i like the new design a whole lot better! 

if anyone has any suggestions for more backstory and design stuff id love to hear it!
